"DB Museum Koblenz"

Schönbornsluster Strasse 14, 56070, Koblenz (Germany)

the exhibition

Koblenz is home to three railway system replicas: the classic H0 model railway, the outdoor model set and the miniature passenger trains running on 5-inch tracks.

The outdoor model railway, 1:22.5 in scale, has been running since 2005. It comprises indoor and open-air sections at the museum, and since its completion in 2006, its total area covers some 120 m2, with trains running on three separate lines. It can be operated using digital or analogue controls, and if you'd like to bring your own locomotives or trains, you're more than welcome!

Built to a scale of 1:87 (H0), the model railway of the TRIX EXPRESS club is a real labour of love. With a route that covers two rooms and its own depot, the set's busy tracks carry railbuses and famous trains such as the TEE.
