1. 1 = Model railroad museum These museums primarily focus on exhibiting model railroad tracks. Some of them exhibit showcased train collections too.
2. 2 = Museum with model railroad track These museums usually have such a track to illustrate a certain topic. The museum itself is not focussed on model railways. For example the Deutches Museum where the model railroad is part of the "traffic" exhibition.
3. 3 = Railway modelling club Clubs showing their layouts from time to time, open for the public to see.
4. 4 = Visitable track Usually private citizens showing their model railroad track to the public on a regular basis.
